Small business insurance news - Dry cleaners could benefit from the odd tweet

20 October 2009

At a time when it's necessary to find the best deal on all small business costs - including dry cleaners insurance - small business enterprises are being encouraged to make the most of low cost business promotion ideas such as social networking sites.

Many small businesses in the US and the UK have realised the potential in using Twitter and Facebook to boost their market sector potential

Two sibling cake shop owners in Washington DC have been using both of the major sites as a marketing tool since they launched their business in 2008.

"Together [Twitter and Facebook] work like a virtual focus group, a bulletin board, a marketing campaign and branding exercise rolled into one," said one of the sisters.

Anamitra Banerji, manager of commercial products at Twitter, said, "Every day we are seeing businesses using Twitter in more and more creative and exciting ways.

"We've got lots of restaurant and bar owners, right through to plumbers and building managers."

Free marketing for dry cleaners could be a real benefit in times of recession, when any way of getting potential customers onto your premises to use your services is of interest.

And whilst you're Tweeting about your latest dry cleaning offers you could go online and let Warrings sort out a great deal on your dry cleaners insurance as well.
